Method For Ensuring The Twisting And Straightening Of ERW Steel Pipes as BS1387

After the ERW Steel Pipes as BS1387 is finished, there will be some twists and turns, and the reduction of these twists and turns must be done by the straightening machine. Therefore, almost all processed seamless steel tubes are subjected to cold straightening by a straightening machine.

The tortuosity of the A105 THRD ELBOW is due to improper adjustment of the rolling mill, residual residual stress during rolling and formation due to unequal cooling along the cross section and length of the pipe. Therefore, it is not possible to obtain a straight pipe directly from the rolling mill, as long as the tortuosity of the cold straightening pipe is sufficient to satisfy the rules of the skill condition.

The fundamental principle of straightening is to make the seamless steel pipe elastic-plastic and tortuous, and the large tortuosity becomes a small tortuosity, so the steel pipe needs to be repeatedly twisted and twisted in the straightening machine. The degree of repeated twists and turns of the steel pipe is mainly determined by the adjustment of the straightening machine.

Seamless steel tubes are widely used and can be divided into low and medium pressure seamless steel tubes, high pressure seamless steel tubes and stainless steel seamless tubes according to different requirements. They can be used for industrial pipes with different pressures such as water vapor, air, oil and gas.
